What is virtual therapy?

Virtual therapy involves counseling sessions conducted online via secure video platforms.  It provides a convenient way to access therapy from your own space.
 

What technology do I need for virtual Session?

You'll need a stable internet connection, a computer, tablet, or smartphone with a camera and microphone, and a private space.
 

How do I login for my session?

We will provide you with a secure link to the session via email or the client portal. Simply click the link at the scheduled time.
 

Is virtual therapy as effective as in-person sessions?

Yes. Studies show that virtual therapy is just as effective as in-person sessions for most issues, including anxiety, depression, and stress management.

Virtual therapy is effective for issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and life transitions.
 

What if I don't feel comfortable during a session?

Your comfort is a priority. Feel free to share your concerns at any time, and we can adjust the approach.
 

How many sessions will I need ?

The number of session varies based on individual needs and goals.  We will discuss this during your initial consultation.

SESSION PREPARATION:
 

What should I do to prepare for a virtual session?

Choose a quiet, private location, minimize distractions, and test your device connectivity at least 10 minutes before the session to ensure there're no issues.
 

What happens if I experience technical issues during a session?

If technical issues occur, we will troubleshoot together to try and resolve the issue.  If unresolved, we will reschedule the session or switch to a phone call.
 

How long are the session?

Sessions are typically 50 minutes unless otherwise arranged,

 

CONFIDENTIALITY AND PRIVACY:
 

Is my information secure in a virtual session?

Yes, session are conducted through HIPAA-compliant platforms to ensure your privacy and confidentiality.
 

Can someone else join my sessions?

Only with prior arrangements and your explicit consent.
 

How do you ensure confidentiality in my space?

We recommend using headphones and choosing a private location where you won't be interrupted.

 

PAYMENT AND CANCELLATIONS:
 

How do I pay for virtual therapy?

Payments can be made via the client portal, by Credit Cards, Venmo, Zelle, Cash App.  You will receive detailed instructions after booking.
 

Do you accept insurance for virtual therapy?

Yes, we accept insurance plans. Please check with your provider to confirm coverage.
 

What is your cancellation policy?

Sessions must be canceled or rescheduled at least 24 hours in advance hours to avoid fees.
